Dr. Gibson Chigumira

Gibson Chigumira has extensive experience in research, including coordinating research studies, editing publications and developing data bases, having been at the helm of the institution since it started operating in 2004. Dr. G. Chigumira has also done work in his individual capacity for civil society organizations such as NANGO and Action AID and ZIMCOD; UNESCO; UNIDO; SAPES Trust; Trades and Development Studies Center; TN Financial Services, among others. He has extensive teaching and research experience in economics, after having been a lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe for more than 12 years, prior to his appointment as Executive Director at ZEPARU. He has also taught and supervised students on the MBA and Strategic Management programs run by ZOU, Solusi University and University of Derby under the Zimbabwe Institute of Management. He has also worked as a Consultant for the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF). Dr. Chigumira was also actively involved in the team that developed the Medium Term Plan (MTP) 2011- 2015.
